Institute's Council
Since 1978, the Institute is governed by a Council. The Council is the supreme governing body of the Institute. The Council is the strategic unit of the Institute and lays down the objectives and targets of the Institute on a five year basis.
The Council is the ultimate body responsible for management of the business and drafting/changing the rules and regulations of the Institute. It offers advice to the Academic Committee concerning the academic programs of the Institute. All members of the staff report to the Director-General who in his turn reports to the Council. In addition, the Council confers awards issued by the Institute.
